Jordanians: Zarqawi- "You are a coward."
AMMAN, Jordan -- At least 200,000 persons demonstrated yesterday against the recent bombings of three luxury hotels, while a new online statement attributed to terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi defended the attacks and threatened to cut off the head of Jordan's King Abdullah II.
An anti-terrorist demonstration of such size is unprecedented in the Arab world, where Zarqawi, his mentor, Osama bin Laden, and their al Qaeda organization have attained folk-hero status among Muslim masses.
"Zarqawi, from Amman, we say to you: 'You are a coward,' " protesters chanted while brandishing banners with the names of their tribes from every part of Jordan.
Yet another thing that bodes well for the US in the War On Terror.

Yet again, the perpetual cycle of self-gratitude that has become the usual for conservatives slapping themselves on the back for their "military triumphs" continues. do conservatives applaud the parents of fallen soldiers in Iraq that attempt to mobilize to press the president to change his policy? absolutely not. that isn't good publicity. However, taking the recent events in Jordan and spinning the story into a victory for conservatives is the usual. Maybe Bush will fly a fighter jet into the Arab world and jump down from the cockpit onto the smoldering remains of Iraq and the more than 100,000 dead civilians killed by US bombs and gunfire.
Funny how that story isn't included in the victory columns of the papers where Republicans can claim another "moral victory" for the good guys while discussing the political support they would receive by offering the rich another tax cut.

Conservatives aren't the ones saying that Zarqawi is a coward here, it is the Jordanians. With this, and more news from the Middle East (http://www.jokerstotheright.com/2005/11/war-on-terror-good-news.html)
is a great thing for all Americans, liberal or conservative.

Why no comments allowed on DERepublican's inflamatory and crude post? Perhaps it is because he is fully aware that this was a bogus vote on a bogus bill that took Rep. Murtha's statement out of context to the degree that Murtha himself voted against it. Perhaps he does not want it pointed out that this finally created a dialogue in which the Republican failures, along with their true colors, were exposed. Perhaps he doesn't want me to point out that they attacked a patriot who put his life on the line for his country simply because he criticized the adminstration's poor management of the war. Or, perhaps he doesn't want me to bring up the Senate vote (over 2/3 majority) that called for significant "Iraqization" of the conflict over the next year and reduction in troop numbers, as well as greater administration accountability.
Or maybe it was just a computer error. Either way, I felt the need to point that stuff out.
